Health Camps cum Anti-Drug Awareness campaign at Kerangpara JB School, East Takchaya VC under Tulashikhar Block, Khowai District

Monday 14th Apr, 2025

The “Tribal Engineers’ Society, Tripura” supported by “Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited” has organized a Mega Health Camps cum Anti-Drug Awareness campaign on 22nd February, 2025 from 11.00 am at Kerangpara JB School, East Takchaya VC under Tulashikhar Block, Khowai District

The following facilities were provided: -

(i)        Free Health check- up by the experienced Doctors of different fields.

(ii)       Distribution of adequate medicines.

(iii)      Malaria Test kit & HIV Early Detect Rapid Card / Test Kit.

(iv)      Anti-Drug Awareness campaign by doctors in the local language (KOK-BOROK /Bengali).

(v)       Double size Mosquito Nets and Blankets will also be distributed to the underprivileged families.                     

           In this Mega Health camp the following Doctors from District Hospital Khowai have attended: -

1. Dr. Arnab Debbarma, MD (Medicine),

2. Dr. Rajesh Debbarma, MD (Pediatrics)

3. Dr. Binita Das, Dental Surgeon,

      In addition to that Sri Mriyaman Debbarma, Pharmacist, Sri Manash Kr. Chakrabarty, Lab Technician have also attended in this camp. About 350 patients were treated and distributed adequate free medicine. In this Health camp, 500 nos. double size Mosquito Nets & 25 nos. Blankets were also distributed to underprivileged families of that locality. Dr. Arnab Debbarma, MD (Medicine) has taken part in the Anti-Drug Awareness campaign as an expert speaker.

     In this Health camp 4 male and 2 Female patients were detected HIV positive through HIV Early Detect Rapid Card / Test Kit. Accordingly, they were all instructed by the Doctors to report in the District Hospital Khowai immediately for taking further counselling and early treatment.

Mega Health camp cum anti-drug awareness campaign held at Malsombari JB School, Nonacherra VC, Mungiakami Block

 The “Tipra Engineers’ Society, Tripura” supported by ONGC Tripura Asset under CSR Scheme has organized a Mega Health Camp cum Anti-Drug Awareness campaign on 8th February, 2025 at Molsombari JB School, Nonacherra VC, Mungiakami Block, Khowai District. 

      In this Mega Health camp, the following Doctors from Teliamura Sub Divisional Hospital have attended: -

1. Dr. Uttam Kr. Barman, MD (Medicine), 

2. Dr. Sushanta Saha, (Gynaecologist),

3. Dr. Pranoy Das, (Paediatric)

4. Dr. Mahesh Debbarma, (Dental)

4. Dr. Shaktimitra Paul, (Ophthalmologist)

      In addition to that Sri Mriyaman Debbarma, Pharmacist, Sri Chinmoy Das (Lab Tech. ) & Tanushree Debnath ( Lab Tech.) have also attended in this camp. About 250 people availed the Free Health check-up facility with adequate free medicine. In this Health camp, 500 nos. double size Mosquito Nets & 24 nos. Blankets were also distributed to underprivileged families of that locality. It is one of the remotest places under Khowai District and most of the community in that areas belong to Halam, Reang & Tripuri.

      Dr. Pranoy Das, (Paediatric) & Dr. Sushanta Saha, (Gynaecologist) have taken part in the Anti-Drug Awareness campaign as expert speaker. One of the main objectives for such Health Camp is to make DRUG FREE Society with co-ordination of all stake holders and we have to fight together to eradicate drug addiction.

Moreover, the locations are also prone zone of Malaria and also HIV affected areas. There is no doubt that drug addiction is growing rapidly in every corner. Now, so many villages are suffering with drug addiction issues.  We have to fight together to eradicate drug addiction and we believe we can make DRUG FREE Society with the help and co-operation of all stake holders.

       Sri Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble Minister for Tribal Welfare etc. Deptt, Sri. N. A. Kujur, CGM I/C HR, ONGC Tripura Asset, Er. Amulya Jamatia, President, TEST, Er. Jiban Debbarma, Secretary, TEST, Mr. Birchandra Debbarma, GS, ONGC Employees Union Tripura etc. were present as dignitaries in this event.

       Besides Er. Utpal Debbarma, Treasurer, Er. Sanjay Debbarma, Organizing Secretary, Er. Sristi Hari Jamatia, Central Executive Member, Er. Apu Debbarma, Central Executive Member, Er. Sukanta Debbarma, Er. Ajit Jamatia, Er. Pintu Debbarma etc. were also present on behalf of TEST.







Mega Health Camp cum Anti-Drug Awareness campaign on 2nd February 2025 at Immanuel Public School near Khamtingbari VC

The “Tipra Engineers’ Society, Tripura” supported by “ONGC Tripura Asset" has organized a Mega Health Camp cum Anti-Drug Awareness campaign on 2nd February, 2025 at Immanuel Public School near Khamtingbari VC under Mandwi Block, West Tripura District. The Khamtingbari VC consist of Khamting, Malsom basti & Sinaikami village and majority of the tribes in the village belongs to Rupini besides Molsom and Karbong also there.

The Mega Health camp was attended by the following Doctors -

1. Dr. Gopinath Barman, MD (Medicine), AGMC & GBP Hospital, Agartala.

2. Dr. Shyamrup Bhattacharjee, Ophthalmologist, IGM Hospital, Agartala.

3. Dr. Anjali Jamatia, DGO, Jirania PHC.

4. Dr. Arghyamoy Debbarma, Dentist, Mandwi PHC.

4. Dr. Ayan Bhattacharjee, MO, Gr.-III of THS, Jirania PHC.

      In addition to that Sri Biswajit Debbarma, Pharmacist & Smt. Bakul Kalai from Mandwi PHC have also attended in this camp. About 350 patients were treated and distributed adequate free medicine. Educational Sponsorship of TEST and meeting with graduate aspiring Engineers

The “Tipra Engineers Society, Tripura” (TEST) has organized a review meeting with sponsored students regarding Educational Sponsorship of TEST and also conducted another meeting with graduate aspiring Engineers on 22nd June, 2024 at Agartala Press Club. We launched the Educational Sponsorship on 10th July, 2022 and consecutively running 3(three) Financial years and as on now we have sponsored more than 20 meritorious students belonging to economically weaker section of the society. Mr. Smai Debbarma from Badramiship Para, Dinabandhu Nagar, West District to whom we sponsored in the FY 2023-24 and now he marvelously achieved JEE (advanced) and secured 785 ranks in ST category and at present provisionally allotted IIT Guwahati in Chemical Engineering (4 Years B. Tech. Course). Another sponsored candidate of TEST Mr. Rajendra Reang from Ganda Twisa is now successfully completed his B.Tech. degree from NIT Agartala in Computer Science Engineering in this Year 2024. Mr. Billa Mohan Reang from Baghirath para of Gandatwisa to whom we sponsored in the FY 2022-23 also now completed his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Dhalai District Polytechnic in this year 2024. The TEST has also notified on 8th June, 2024 for inviting application from meritorious students belonging to economically weaker section of the society within 7th July, 2024 to avail “Educational Sponsorship of TEST for the financial Year 2024-25”. The meritorious students may be selected from the level up to (i) 10th standard (ii) 12th standard / Polytechnic (iii) Under Graduate either Technical or Professional or General line.

 

We have also organized a meeting with aspiring graduate Engineers on employment generation issues at the same venue on 22nd June, 2024. Er. J. Debbarma, Secretary, TEST initially welcomed to all the participants and briefed the past activities of TEST through a Power Point presentation. Thereafter, the panel speakers were delivered their valuable speech such as Er. Manoj Jamatia, AP, TIT, Prof. Deb Dulal Tripura, NIT, Er. Gautam Reang, EE, Er. Bikram Debbarma, DGM, Er. Sabbir Kumar Jamatia, AP, TIT, Ar. Gaurav Debbarma A. Archietect regarding employment generation issues and carrier building opportunities and challenges. At the end the “Aspiring Young Engineers’ Committee” one of the wings of TEST was formed comprising 12 graduate Engineers where Er. Pintu Debbarma, Er. Sanam Debbarma & Er. Salfa Debbarma were selected as President, Secretary & Treasurer respectively.

The meeting was concluded with thanks by Er. Amulya Jamatia, President, TEST. Besides on behalf of TEST Er. Sanjay Debbarma, Organizing Secretary, Er. Utpal Debbarma, Treasurer, Er. Sonaranjan Debbarma, EM, Er. Ashi Mohan Jamatia, Publicity Secretary,  Er. Parimal Debbarma, Er. Sristi Hari Jamatia, EM, Er, Niranjan Jamatia, Er. Manoj Tripura, EM were present in the program. 






Educational Sponsorship of TEST for the financial Year 2023-24

The “Tipra Engineers Society, Tripura” has organized Educational Sponsorship for the financial Year 2023-24 which was held on 10th September, 2023 from 11.00 am at Agartala Press Club. Like as previous year this year also 10 nos. meritorious students have been selected belonging to economically weaker section of the society for providing Educational Sponsorship.

                   One of the most meritorious student is Smai Debbarma from Badramiship Para, Dinabandhu Nagar, West District secured 93% in Madhyamik Board exam and now reading in Kendriya Vidyalaya NIT Agartala in Class-XII, science stream belonging to economically weaker family and interested in robotic and Computing for further studies.

                 Another student, Jamen Babu Tripura from Raishyabari, Dhalai District secured 76% in Madhyamik Board exam and now reading in Umakanta Academy in Class-XI, science stream belonging to economically backward and poor family.

               During interaction all the students and guardian have expressed their gratitude to TEST for providing such Educational Sponsorship and they have assured that they will perform their best in future.

              We have assigned our members as Supervisor and they will monitor the Educational Sponsorship and counsel the students time to time. The TEST will try to continue such initiative in future with the help of esteem members of TEST and all well-wishers.

Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign at Montfort HS School , Champaknagar

Saturday 18th Mar, 2023

Anti- Drug Awareness Campaign conducted on 11th December, 2022 at the premises of Montfort HS School, Belbari, Champaknagar with the Students.

(i) About 300 students of Montfort HS School, Belbari took part in the Anti- Drug Awareness camp.

(ii) Note book, Pen etc. were also distributed to the students present during the Awareness Campaign.

(iii) Dr. Arup Shankar Debbarma, Consultant Physician attended the Anti- Drug Awareness campaign as an expert speaker and explained through Power Point Presentation.

(iv) Besides, Rev. Bro. MK Devassy, Principal, Monfort HS School & Mr. Dayal Chakma, OC Champaknagar Out Post were present and also delivered their views relating to Anti- Drug Awareness campaign.

(v) Er. J. Debbarma, Secretary, TEST delivered the welcome speech while Er. Amulya Jamatia, President of TEST concluded the program with vote of thanks.
